Today has been an eventful day. On a positive note, Wes has been moved back into a crib. Hopefully he is able to maintain his temp and stay in the crib instead of going back into an isolette. He also has been doing a good job of breastfeeding - it has allowed him to have his tube feedings cut back. So hopefully he continues to increase his breast feedings!!
Shea on the other hand has had another rough day. She continues to spit up (quite a bit) after each feeding and had to have a stomach x-ray today. They currently think that it is just from being a preemie and with the tube in it keeps her esophagus open all the time which increases her chances of spitting up. It takes a lot out of her and then requires her clothes, blankets, etc to be changed multiple times a day. It has made for some stressful moments that last two days as she is so little and it is hard when there is nothing you can do for her. It is also very hard to leave them both to go home at night - but we also realize we need our sleep to be able to continue to spend so much time here during the day.
