March 2013

March has been a very busy month for us.  Shea, Wes, and I have visited a lot of Fabric stores looking for just the right fabric for making valences for our living room and dining room.  I can happily say we found fabric that is just perfect for our home.  I also think we have the paint colors for the living room, hallway, kitchen/dinette, and bathrooms picked out and we have a painter lined up to start next week!!  Rob will then need to make our valences and reupholster our ottoman.  We are excited for the change!!  Rob has also finished the new "dropzone" room of our house (Besides a little trim work).  Shea and Wes even helped dad Paint!!

Shea and Wes love pirates - we had a great time at the fabric store playing and not only looking for fabric :)

February 2013

February passed by in a blur and I can't believe it is already March!!   We had a great month with Valentines day, nice weather to play at the park, snow to sled in, etc.  Rob completed the bathroom in the basement (except for trim and mirror) and also demolished a closet in our mudroom area and built a drop zone area that will be much more functional!!  We are working on picking out colors to have the main area of the main floor painted.

Shea and Wes continue to grow like weeds.  The conversations they have with us now never cease to amaze us.  We continue to do swim lessons on Monday nights and they are learning so much - Shea has no fear of water what so ever (although mom and dad do now as she holds her breath under water way too long  now!!).  Wes is pretty much potty trained and Shea finally is getting it down.  We venture out in underwear now so it is a whole new adventure.  We play with play doh (i held out on this as longs as possible but Grammy Bonnie introduced it so I gave in at home), color, paint, and read books on a daily basis.  Wes still loves to watch t.v.  They love to sing their ABC's, count, and play "letters"  We continue to have as much fun as possible everyday and are looking forward to what March has in store for us.

2013 Begins

We spent New Years Eve at Steve and Jordan's to watch the Cyclone game.  Shea and Wes had fun playing with Cousin Hank.  Will and Jillian were also there so it was lots of fun and plenty of entertainment from the kids :)

O 1/5/13 we took Shea and Wes to see Sesame Street Live - Elmo Can't Stop Singing - they loved it.  I am so glad we took them!!

We are back to swimming lessons on Monday's and Shea and Wes love them.  We were off for two weeks and then Shea had a cold so we skipped last week.  Shea and Wes both did an awesome job last night and are getting good at putting their heads under water on their own and blow bubbles in the water.  They continue to perfect their colors, their counting (to 8), their identification of letters (Wes is awesome at this) and their singing.  We are also signed up for fall preschool - They will be going on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. - I can not believe that by the end of this year they will be 3 and in preschool.  Shea is doing a decent job with potty training and hopefully in the next two months they will both be 100% potty trained (Wes just has some #2 accidents here and there).  Looking forward to an incredible 2013!!
