Run Away Dog

So yesterday Shea, Wes, and I were hanging out at home.  We just had a covered patio added to our house ( I will post pics later) and the gutters had been installed in the morning.  I started to feed Wes at 12:30 at put him down for a nap and then fed Shea - (or at least attempted to - she was having none of it) and laid her down.  After that I went to let Porter and Winston in who i let outside before I fed Shea & Wes.  So Porter comes right in and I start calling for Winston only to realize he is not in the yard and the gate is not latched.  As you can imagine my heart sank and I called Rob who informed me I should immediately begin looking for him in the van.  So I had to load up two sleeping babies and go looking for a dog that could be anywhere - including the two big fields around our house - needless to say it was like looking for a needle in a haystack.  I immediately called Laura to see if she was at home and asked her to be on the lookout for Winston.  She kindly offered for her and Connor to drive around looking for him too.  I drove up the hill to where Charleston Homes had our poured foundation crew putting a foundation in just up the hill from us and asked them if they had seen a black and white dog.  They had not but said they would let me know if they did.  So Connor stayed at our house with Porter while Shea and Wes and I continued to drive around in search of Winston.  About 10 minutes later (1.5 hours total of search time) - The Poured Wall guys returned Winston to us.  He had come out of the field to the West of our house.  Needless to say I hope not to be looking for him again.

Here are some pics:

Shea is a very good driver - and always has both hands on the wheel :)

Wes in the hat Aunt Laura brought back for Cousin Chloe and loaned to Shea.  Grandma Bonnie put it on him :)

Shea Bird

Shea had greek yogurt for the first time and loved it (Rob joked that she doesn't need any more protein as the girl has some muscular arms)  Wes on the other hand did not like the yogurt.

Shea loves to play with her tongue - She is always sticking it out and actually holding on to it as in this pic

I turned around this morning and this is what I saw - Wes with Shea's paci - he does not take one

And his little smirk showing he knows what he is doing ;)
